Storytelling is our business. The films we create – regardless of what they are about – tell a compelling, emotional story. Our formula to achieve this is never the same but the ingredients are: artistic, cinematic visuals, combined with relevant and touching audio. Our shooting style is journalistic and unobtrusive. We try to capture events as they happen with as little re-creation and interference as possible.
We use Sony XDCAM EX High Definition professional video cameras.
Music is one of the most important ingredients in cinematic storytelling and choosing the right track is the first step in our creative process. We try to incorporate the music choices that our couples select, however it usually ends up becoming a collaboration between us and them.
It’s similar to the way theatrical movies are made. The second camera gets a second angle, a second opinion, another view, another vision and, importantly, more footage which is valuable in the editing and production process. Two videographers help each other with equipment and set-up, saving important time that can be spent on shooting more of your wedding. Two videographers working in tandem create a more complete, more detailed, story of your day.
Definitely! During our meeting, we will decide the most important parts of the wedding that needs to be captured.
It all depends on the final package. Basically, it takes about 3-6 months to create a powerful movie.
Yes.
Not really. Since we’re not shooting on tapes any more, you can’t really buy them. But we can put a cleaned up version of the raw footage on a harddrive for you for a small charge.
Our inspiration comes from our couples — from the stories they share with us, their love for each other, and the energy of their day. The more open they are, the more personal the film.
Absolutely. We’re based in San Diego, but it’s not a huge deal to pack up our gear and hop on a flight. We’ve traveled to Los Angeles, San Francisco, Lake Tahoe, and have some shoots coming up in Cancun and Hawaii. We do ask that our expenses are covered.
